Our founder

Ishaan Tripathi is a senior in High School who has lived in Frisco since 2015. Ever since he moved here from India, he's always been fascinated by how a community as strong as Frisco connects with its members. He founded Bridge of Appreciation to turn that fascination into action, ensuring that our community’s generosity actually reaches the students who need it most. When he's not organizing donations or washing hoodies, you can find him practicing his saxophone or hanging out at the Frisco Public Library. His goal is to prove that students can be the most effective bridge between abundance and need.

Our story

The inspiration struck while he was volunteering at local donation lines. Watching neighbors drop off bags, he realized a fundamental disconnect: the donor never sees the impact of their contribution. Once the item hit the bin, the story ended. The generosity was there, but the connection was missing—donors never got to know if their gift actually helped a specific neighbor or just sat in a warehouse.

Bridge of Appreciation was born from a simple idea: Donations should be treated like gifts, not transactions. We replaced the anonymous bin with a transparent bridge. By working directly with school counselors, we ensure that every hoodie, coat, and kit we collect is exactly what is needed, right now. We don't just move inventory; we deliver dignity.
